I wanted to love this book so much!
It has a decent rating on Goodreads, it has a fun title, it definitely got my attention, but that was about it. It wasn’t even terrible, but I was at a point when I was wondering if I should cut my losses and stop reading it, or if I should stick with it just because I had already “wasted” a few hours on it. Well, I dragged myself through the whole thing. As I said, it wasn’t terrible, but nothing about it lived up to the enthusiastic expectations I had for it. The story was mid, characters were mid…maybe the best part of it was the quirky writing, but even that, it wasn’t quirky enough to make it a good book.
